Africar Group Acquires Koto.ci, Côte d’Ivoire’s Leading New Car Price Reference Platform

Africar Group Pty Ltd, the company behind AUTO24.africa, Africa’s fastest-growing certified used car marketplace, announces the acquisition of Koto.ci, the leading online reference platform for new car prices in Côte d’Ivoire. Backed by global automotive leader Stellantis, AUTO24.africa currently operates in five African countries (Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, South Africa, Senegal, and Rwanda) and continues to expand aggressively across the continent.

A Strategic Expansion of the Africar Group Ecosystem

Africar Group is building Africa’s most complete 360° digital automotive ecosystem, designed to support car buyers and sellers at every step of the ownership journey. In each country, the Group deploys four interconnected platforms :

  • AUTO24 : Certified pre-owned car marketplace with warranty and trust.
  • Local Classifieds : Multi-vendor platforms for individuals and dealers to buy and sell vehicles.
  • Automotive Content Websites :  News, tips, and insights that inform and guide
    consumers.
  • Koto : A new car price reference platform providing transparency on models and offers.

In Côte d’Ivoire, this ecosystem is fully operational with AUTO24.ci, Voitures.ci, AutoMag.ci, and now Koto.ci. This unique combination delivers a one-stop hub that blends inventory, pricing, and trusted information.

Africar Group plans to replicate this 4-pillar strategy across its other AUTO24 markets (Morocco, Senegal, Rwanda, and South Africa). These countries will soon benefit from localized Koto platforms, making Africar Group one of the first to provide a dedicated space for car dealers and distributors to showcase new car prices and offers on the continent.

Driving Transparency and Trust

The acquisition of Koto.ci strengthens Africar Group’s model by adding a trusted new vehicle pricing layer, helping consumers make better-informed decisions and enabling industry partners to reach buyers more effectively.

We aim to support African car buyers throughout their entire journey, from research and comparison, to buying, financing, insuring, and now having full visibility on new car prices,” says Axel Peyriere, CEO of AUTO24.africa.

Founded by Abdessamad Misbah, a Moroccan technologist and entrepreneur who has spent nearly twenty years bridging technical execution and business strategy, Koto.ci has grown into Côte d’Ivoire’s most trusted new car price reference. Its integration into Africar Group further consolidates the company’s position as the only pan-African, tech-enabled 360° mobility player.

A Pan-African Galaxy of 70+ Digital Platforms

Africar Group now operates a network of over 70 digital platforms across 15 African countries, making it the continent’s largest automotive ecosystem. This includes :

● AUTO24.africa certified used car marketplaces.
● The continent’s #1 automotive classifieds network with over 50 local verticals.
● A growing suite of editorial content platforms, including AutoMag.ci, AutoMag.sn,
AutoActu.ma, AutoMag.rw, and iMotoNews.co.za. Supporting Electric Mobility with EV24.africa
● And now, localized Koto-branded platforms to deliver transparent new car pricing in
multiple markets.

Together, these attract more than 15 million qualified, auto-interested users yearly, positioning Africar Group as the undisputed digital leader in Africa’s automotive space.

Supporting Electric Mobility with EV24.africa

Through its platform EV24.africa, Africar Group is also pioneering electric vehicle adoption in Africa. With Koto.ci now part of the ecosystem, consumers gain better visibility on new EV prices, helping to build awareness and trust around sustainable mobility solutions.

This approach will be replicated across future Koto rollouts, directly supporting EV adoption and inclusive mobility, from everyday consumers to VTC drivers.

Koto.ci is more than a price reference tool — it is a strategic initiative designed in Africa to serve Africa’s mobility aspirations,” says Alexandre Allanic, CDO at Africar Group. “It will also play a key role in accelerating EV adoption through EV24.africa.”
